Carson's Paper

Dedicated to Victor (My BFF) 

in the book Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins many of the characters are defiant. Some are being defiant to get out of the quarter quell. Many are going against snow for putting them back in the games. 

Katniss was defiant when she hung a dummy and wrote Seneca Crane on it. on page 236 it says " I step away quickly to watch the game makers read the name...Seneca Crane "I know this is defiant because she basically said that no one is safe from snow not even you. 

Peeta was defiant when he painted Rue during his Private session. On page 240 it says "I wanted to hold them accountable  for killing a little girl". I know this is defiant because he was saying they were killing innocent children. 

All of the tributes were defiant when they stood in a line holding hands. On page 258 it says " up in down the line tributes joined hands in unity". I know this is defiant because they were showing snow that they stand together and we know it affected him because he started to shut down the camera and separate the tributes. 

Cinna was defiant when he made Katniss's wedding dress into a mocking jay. on page 147 he says "don’t worry I always channel my emotions into my work". I know this is defiant because the mocking jay is more than symbol of love it’s a symbol of rebellion and a failure from the capitol.it  

All of these are examples of character defying snow and we know it got to him because during the show he shut down the cameras and was sending the tributes back to there rooms.
