catching fire paper

In the book Catching Fire many of the charters in the book defy the capitol/President Snow. 

During her private training session Katniss hung a dummy of Seneca crane. On page 236 is says "that she wanted to break though the smug veneer of those who us there brains to find amusing ways to kill us". This is rebellious because she is sending a message to the game makers that not even the are safe. 

During his interview Peeta says that said he and  Katniss have been married for a while and also that Katniss is pregnant.on page 259 "are they asking the president to stop the games". this was defiant because now the people in the capitol don’t want to send Katniss into the arena and they start to realize that its wrong to send people to there death. 

After the interviews all of the tributes hold hand to show unity.this was the "first sign of unity between the distracts since the dark days".This was defiant because they were showing all the distracts were united as one. 

For Katniss's interview she had to wear the wedding dress that the capitol chose but Cinna added something special to the dress when she was on stage the dress made the a mocking jay.on page 252 Katniss says "he turned me into a mocking jay. This is defiant because Katniss is the symbol of the rebellion with the mocking jay pin and he made her a mocking jay for the whole country to see. 

In conclusion I believe that what Peeta did was the most defiant because he said that Katniss was pregnant this was defiant because now the people of the capitol are starting to see that sending people to there deaths is a bad thing.
