In the book catching fire there are different characters that are being defiant to the capitol. I'm going to be telling you what the characters are doing to be defiant. Also why the things they do is defiant in the capitols eyes.
Katniss is one defiant character because she hung a dummy of Senea Crane. One piece of text evidence is "To break through the smug veneer of those who use their brains to find amusing ways to kill us". Katniss hates them for doing this to the people she really doesn’t like the games.
Peeta is defiant to the capitol because he felt the courage to paint a picture of Rue's death during his session. "Actually, I painted a picture of Rue,"Peeta says. This is defiant because he reminds the game makers that there killing innocent children an people.
The Tributes are being defiant because they hold hands in unity. "Up an down the row, the victors begin to join hands". This is defiant because it is showing the capitol there wrong. Also there showing that even the tributes are united against the capitol.
Cinna has being defiant because he turns Katniss wedding dress Snow required into a mockingjay."And
that’s when I see myself on the television screen. Clothed in black except for the white patches on my sleeves. Or should I say wings. Because Cinna has turned me into a mockingjay. This is defiant because he turned her into the symbol of the rebellion on national T.V.
In Conclusion, I would think President Snow would find the tributes most defiant. This is because when they were holding hands It was showing. They might be going against each other in the arena fighting for there life. Outside the arena they stand together to fight against the capitol, and against the games. They want to stop President Snow an the game makers.
