Alaina's defiance paper

In the book the hunger games catching fire there are many acts of defiance in this paper I will talk about who rebelled and what they did that was an act of rebellion.

 

   Katniss is the first person I have picked that has done something defiant. What Katniss did to be defiant was she had token a dummy hung it on a rope and painted the name Seneca crane on the dummy during her private session. Katniss did this to show the caoitol citizens that even they are not safe. For my quote I picked this one “ so powerful so removed so safe…”.

 

   Peeta is the next person that has committed an act of defiance. What Peeta did that was defiant was for his interview he dropped a bomb that was Katniss is “pregnant”. He did this act of defiance to try to get the game makers and president snow to stop the games so that nobody would die. For my quotes I picked “dropped a bomb that wipes out the efforts of every tribute before him. If it weren’t for the baby.”

 

   For my second to last paragraph of people who did an act of defiance I picked out Cinna. What Cinna did that was defiant was he did alterations to Katniss’s wedding dress witch made her whole dress turn to the color black and look like a mocking jay. The reason this is an act of defiance is that the wedding dress was picked out by president snow and a mocking jay is a symbol of rebellion. For my quote I picked the one that said “a shadow of recondition flickers off Caesar’s face. Well hats off to your stylist.”

 

   My last act of rebellion goes to all of the tributes of this years games. What the tributes did was after all of them got done with their interviews was they held hands and stood proudly on the stage. Why they did this was to show unity among the districts and that nothing will break their alliance against the capitol. The quote that I picked for the secton is the one that said “in the confusion they didn’t cut us off in time everyone has seen”

 

   For my last and final paragraph we were told to write and inferencing paragraph about witch act of defiance effected president snow the most. The act of defiance I think won was when the tributes all held hands in unity. I think this way because wile Katniss and Peeta were in district 11 when a man tried showing unity in the districts by whistling he was automatically killed. And also I think in this way because when they all held hands they turned off the cameras fast so that nobody would see.
