Catching Fire

In Miss Lewis's 8th grade class room we are reading catching fire and I am going to be talking about the victors and how and why they are deviance.  

Katniss hangs a dummy with Seneca Cranes name on it for her private session. On page 236 it says that she wanted to "break through the smug  veneer of those who use their brains to find amusing ways to kill the tributes". This was defiant because she's sending a massage to the game makers are not safe and snow can kill them as well. 

During Peeta privet session he painted Rue. On page 240 it says that Peeta  "wanted to hold them accountable for killing that girl". This is defiant because she died in the last games – reminding game makers that they are killing innocent kids. 

The tributes all hold hands in unity. On page 258 it says '' The capitol wont be able to contain this one''. They are uniting the districts. 

Cinna turns Katniss's wedding dress into a mocking jay. On page 252 it says ''clothed in black except for the white patches on my sleeves or should I say my wings because Cinna turned me into  a mocking jay. He turned the dress into the symbol of the rebellion on national television.  

I think that president snow would find to be the most defiant is when Cinna turned Katniss's  wedding dress into a mocking jay because Katniss didn’t  even know until she was on national television and no one knew except for Cinna.
