Hunger games

In Language Art we are reading Catching Fire. We are talking bout Defiance.
Defiance means acting out against authority.

During Katniss's private session she hung a dummy with Seneca Crane's name on it. Katniss wanted to "brake through the smug veneer of those who use their brains to find amusing ways to kill." This is defiant because she beat the system.
At the interview Peeta says Katniss is pregnant. This was defiant because citizens wanted the games cancelled. "Even the most capital-loving, game-hungry, blood thirsty person can't ignore... how horrific the whole thing is."
At the end of the interview the tributes hold hands in unity. This is defiant because districts and more join together. "We victors stage our own uprising."
During the ceremony Cinna turns Katniss's wedding dress Into a mocking jay. This is defiant because  its " a symbol of rebellion."
I think Peeta was the most defiant because everyone wanted to know more about the baby. Everyone was so worried about what was going to happen to the baby.
